Bum Balm for Babies *All natural*

 On Sunday I got a baby bum balm from a friend. She sent it over when she heard baby had a bad rash. I actually haven't used this on baby's bum yet. I already had some coconut oil and lavender that I was using up. But when I opened this, I was holding baby in my arms, and I was looking down at her head, which was flaking terribly. I figured it couldn't hurt to put it on her scalp, so I did. I'd tried lotions previously, and they'd not made much improvement. But the very next day after putting the balm on, baby's scalp was 85% better. I've used it twice more on her head and you can't tell that there was a problem to begin with. 
  So, if you're looking for an all natural bum balm that is cloth diaper safe, you might try Laurel's Yellowbee Baby Balm. I did say all natural. Its simply, organic coconut oil, organic bees wax, and essential oils.

Training Pants (tutorial)

When I started potty training my nearly 2 year old, I went in search of training panties. I had been using cloth diapers before hand, and had tried using those for starters but they didn't work too well for potty training. I'd heard of the plastic covers and such, or trainers that had a layer of PUL in them. But I really didn't want those; I was in search of the old fashioned kind, like the Gerber ones that were made from white cloth and didn't have a plastic lining. Turns out, they're no longer just in white, but come in various prints and can be found at Walmart. That's where I found the ones I bought. They ran about $9.00 for 3 pair. My first thought was that I could make them rather than buy them. I searched for a pattern and tutorial online. I found both, but in separate locations. Types of Swimwear Fabric

First off I have to tell you, I am very picky about quality in swimwear fabric. How it feels, stretches, even what color it is on the back. (imagine that) I'll explain that a little later...  Now I can't always remember which technical names I'm looking for when I'm searching swimwear fabric on the internet, but I've got to be sure I'm looking at the right thing. Its not like I can touch it and immediately know that I've got the right stuff. I know words like nylon, spandex, lycra, and polyester, and even cotton are thrown around. I know enough to stay away from anything that says cotton-lycra on the label. When I was growing up swimwear fabric was simply called LYCRA.  But these days so much clothing is made from stretch fabrics and the word LYCRA is in everything stretchy.
